Plot Synopsis
Set in a dense underbrush within the Himalayas, 'Arachnicked' tells the story of Ari, a hungry jumping spider who after having his dinner stolen by a giant owl, chases the culprit to her nest in the hopes of retrieving his tasty grub. However, this pursuit reveals the reason behind the owl's thievery, as Ari finds himself with more on his plate than he may have wished...
Discipline
'Arachnicked' is a digitally drawn 2D animation specialising in character design and character animation. This short film aims to tell a story from the miniscule perspective of a jumping spider whilst imprinting expressive, relatable personalities and to its animal characters. Using these qualities, I aimed to create a setting which, although set in the real world, presents a fantastical and exciting atmosphere.
